An evening of achievements
Kuala Lumpur, Monday 26th October 2015 at Le Meridien Hotel
It was the IChemE Malaysia Awards 2015 that celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement in the chemical, process and biochemical industries.
This year the Palm Oil Industry Award was introduced for the first time and it was sponsored by KLK Oleo. The Award recognises the best project implemented and demonstrates innovation, successful delivery and a technical, commercial, safety and/or environmental benefit. The project may relate to new industrial plant or to the enhancement of existing palm oil mills, refining and other related industries. On hand to announce the winner and to give away the award and the certificate was its Project Director, Mr Siew Fook Ming.
The second place was won by IOI Oleochemical Industry Berhad for their entry ‘Pioneer and innovative palm oleochemical producer’. Its Senior General Manager, Mr Lai Choon Wah received the certificate on behalf of IOI Oleochemicals.
Mr Siew and Mr Lai graduated from the same university 25 years ago and whilst working in the same industry had never met each other since until tonight. Thanks to the power of IChemE’s networking and events.
